Challenge
There are several problems with water that as a service, Water Boys will address. These problems include water scarcity, accessibility, affordability and waste as it relates to both water and plastic water bottle consumption. Specifically, water scarcity is a problem that we have identified that has inspired our service and its overall design.
SOLVE
Water Boys is both a product focused on providing a more sustainable alternative to traditional bottled water and a technology-driven service that aims to provide accessible and clean drinking water to local New York communities. Specifically, Water Boys aims to use technology and leverage new and existing sustainable behaviors to design better water solutions. New York have access to some of the cleanest tap water in all the United States given its natural aquifer system that aids the natural filtration of water. As a result, this positions New York as an advantageous location to pursue a water-related service.
Initially, we believe we can create a strong foundation to increases in water accessibility, reduction of consumption of plastic water bottles, and reinforcement of convenient sustainable behaviors. Our vision is to create convenience in being sustainable when consuming bottled water. As a result, Water Boys allows users to readily access reusable water bottles throughout New York City and Brooklyn.
